San Antonio Boot Camp

No matter what your goal, whether it’s to fit into your skinny jeans or have enough energy to walk the entire length of the river walk, a San Antonio boot camp can help you get fitter to achieve it. However, not all boot camps are alike. Some help you achieve your goal faster and provide far more motivation and support. Whether you’re building a new thinner you or simply want more endurance, you need to find the boot camp that provides the extras to get you to your goal.

Boot camps are run by personal trainers.

One thing is normally true of all boot camps, they’re created and overseen by a personal trainer. That means there’s no one-siz-fits-all type of approach. Instead, the trainer first learns of each person’s goals and special needs, then identifies that person’s level of fitness. The trainer not only assesses each muscle group, but also each type of fitness from endurance and strength to balance and flexibility. Only then does the trainer design a program specifically for each member of the group.

Everyone will workout together, but each workout will be different based on their personalized program.

It will look like it’s any other group session, unless you look closely. Then, you’ll notice that some people are doing more reps, using a modified form or doing the workout with more intensity. That’s because the individual workouts will be based on their own personalized goals. Everyone might be doing push-ups, but some will be doing an easier bent-knee modified form, others will be doing a small number of repetitions and the really fit may be doing far more reps or a more difficult form of the workout.

The real difference shows in what happens after the workout.

A top boot camp provides more than just exercise, it also provides nutritional advice and more. Nutrition advice isn’t dieting, because dieting doesn’t work. Initially, you might be given sample meals to help you learn how to eat healthier, but eventually, you’ll use the information to make smarter choices when it comes to food. It will be small changes at first, such as eating Greek yogurt to replace sour cream or big changes, such as learning to cook healthier. Unlike a diet, you’ll be able to eat anywhere and even eat your favorite foods, but not as frequently and using portion control. Also, unlike a diet, healthy eating is forever, where diets always end.

A boot camp that offers more provides a community and support on your struggle to fitness.

You’ll work hard at a boot camp, but be amazed at how much fun it is. There’s plenty of comradery and support from the group.

You’ll get the benefit of having a personal trainer at a boot camp, but at a fraction of the cost of private sessions, since everyone shares in paying for the trainer’s time.

When you workout at a boot camp, you’ll make progress fast. As your fitness level improves, the trainer adjusts your workout to reflect that improvement, so you’ll continue to show rapid improvement.
